To travel back to Malta in the summer months was a dream come true for me. And that was thanks to Rich and Bobby who contacted me last year and asked me to shoot their wedding out there. I only take on a few destination weddings in the year and it’s not just the place that matters, but very much the people. I connected with Rich and Bobby right from the first few emails and then our skype chats. I knew they had a huge appreciation for photography and I had a huge appreciation for who they were as a couple and what was important to them. Some people just have an energy, a love and a positive vibe that is contagious and it shows in these photos. Whilst out there we wanted to make the most of Malta so I suggested a pre-wedding shoot. Mdina has my heart and that was where we headed. We went out in the evening when the light was soft and creamy in those narrow, ancient streets. I love these pre-wedding shoots as there’s a vibe of excitement for the main event to come. I honestly could have kept shooting around every corner until the light went down. We followed this up with a well-earned, delicious Maltese dinner and wine at the Xara Palace. Seriously, pinch me.
