Ah, to travel to special places to meet special couples… what a treat!
I recently jumped on a plane for a quick flight over to the highlands of Scotland to meet up with Catriona and Matthew for their engagement session. Catriona is a great wedding photographer herself so I knew we were going to enjoy making these portraits. I knew how much photography meant to them. We drove down to a place that was dear to them, the beautiful Loch Morlich on a cold Spring day. The mountains were still snow-capped and the winds coming off them were wild, but the sandy beaches and the woodlands gave us shelter and our hearts were warm. I enjoy travelling to new locations, but ultimately it’s the people and their connections that interest me the most. All the joy and excitement in these photos made this a wonderful session. I’m so glad I made the trip. Thank-you also to Matthew’s parents who run a gorgeous B&B in their home in Inverness. I was treated to true Invernessian hospitality whilst there. Also Harry Gow’s Dream Rings in Culloden are beyond divine! Thank-you C&M :) See you in August!
