I’ve been working hard to get this incredibly beautiful wedding session blogged this afternoon. It’s kind of an anniversary. Because this day, two weeks ago, Grace and Adam got married.

This is really special and unique. Grace is a local photographer and I feel really honoured that she asked me to do this for them. They knew exactly how they wanted their wedding to be. They had a small intimate wedding at Adam’s Church in Mullavilly, with just their closest friends and family. Then they all headed out to my favourite place, The Pot Belly Restaurant afterwards for a cosy meal to celebrate. But being a photographer, Grace knew she wanted portraits on the day of the two of them together like this. I totally ‘get’ Grace. She’s my kind of girl. There was no big fuss required. I love the simplicity of it all and their relaxed boho country style. A pretty white dress, flowers in her hair, walking boots, a straw-tied bouquet and a blanket for the cold. And Adam in his shirt and wellies.

Normally portraits are done after the couple get married, but we did these photos on the morning of the wedding before the ceremony. Kind of like a ‘first look’ session. It was just the two of them, and that feeling of excitement before you become Mr & Mrs. If you don’t want your full day photographed, I would highly recommend a morning wedding portrait session like this, or a late evening one in the summertime.

We took a walk over the local fields around Grace’s home. And of course being in Orchard County in September, we finished their photos in among the apples.  We then said our goodbyes, and Grace & Adam went to Church and got married :)

Perfect.
