Look who has started pre-school! The first day she cried. Well, we both cried! The next day she went off happily blowing kisses and chatting to all her new friends. The minute the uniform went on I felt a lump in my throat. Where did my baby go? Its all going too fast now. Being a working mum its hard not to feel like your missing the good stuff. I wish there was more time to enjoy them at this stage. I wish I could keep her with me and always know she is safe and protected. But I also wish her to have friends and fun and independence. And to not be afraid when I’m not there.
I wish a whole lot of things for her.

I just love adding cuties to the blog. *sigh* And these two are seriously cute!:)
I wasn’t sure how long we’d have them in the mood for a photosession as it was pretty close to bedtime. But I needn’t have worried. Cahir just smiled and twinkled the whole time I was there and Eva had plenty of energy left for entertaining! Lots of big smiles and giggles in this blogpost.
Also, it was love at first sight for me and this nursery ![]()
Can’t wait to see them again at Catherine and Emmett’s Wedding next week. Keep an eye on the blog for that. It’s in one of my favourite locations!

I’m thinking of submitting this one to awkward family photos. I was looking through Seanan’s Nursery work and found this little gem. They must have been doing a piece on the eskimos and decided to take some pictures. Hey, I’m not knocking the fun and the learning! But I’ve got to admit, I nearly died laughing. He looks so thrilled!

Last week I met with Christine and Damien at the Ulster Museum for their engagement session at Botanic Gardens. It looked like we were going to get rained out but thankfully it held off until we were finished. Score.:) They are both laid-back and fun to be around. We had a good laugh too! I have the most interesting clients. Christine is a super-fab pole-dance instructor with her own studio and Damien is a Martial Arts expert!! He did tell me exactly which Martial Art it is but I’m not even going to try and spell it here!
They are getting married next year and Christine is well-organised already. I am starting to do engagement shoots for 2011 Weddings from September onwards so any couples who are waiting on theirs – email me to book early.

Claire: Awww, it goes too quickly doesn't it! She looks very sweet in her uniform. And having experience of both, I think that working is good for mums and good for kids - they need that independence, I think Alfie was more content when he wasn't with me 24/7 lol :) And I know I was a much more 'fun' mum when I had defined time for work and time for him, instead of half doing everything all at once. That smile on Niamh's face says it all :) (08/16/10, 4:01 pm)
admin: Thanks Claire. She is absolutely loving school so no worries there. I think the hardest part of working from home and looking after kids is the whole thing seems to merge into one. Its hard to organise your time. Now that they are both going to be in school from September on, I'll be able to better define the hours I am supposed to be working and the time with the kids. I don't think I'll be doing anything quite as creative in the kitchen as you though on my off time! (08/17/10, 9:24 am)
