Tim & Carly

This is Carly and Tim’s session in Belfast  just before Christmas. I’m so delighted to be photographing their wedding in June. I knew from the moment we met that we were a good match :)  We have the same ideas and vision. Carly is seriously pretty in these photos. Love her in this green coat. It was wintery and cold but these two made it warm…

I’m finishing off the season with some gorgeous couple sessions!

  3. admin: Thanks girls. Emma maybe you should drop a few hints to Santa? I'm still trying to squeeze in another session before the break. We'll see!x (12/22/11, 1:52 pm)

  4. Tim: Love these in particular the ones where they are sitting in front of city hall and you are far away. I try these shots but tend to to crop in in editing (12/23/11, 7:06 pm)

  5. admin: Thanks Tim! And thanks for all your comments on the blog. Appreciated. Wish I had more time to answer your emails. You certainly have so much passion for the craft. You'll do great. Just go your own path and have faith :) Merry Christmas!xxx (12/24/11, 12:05 am)

Riley

“All is calm…”

This is one of my favourite newborn sessions. It was a very peaceful session. Riley is such a quiet, relaxed, happy baby. I get that vibe from his Mum and Dad too so it must be a family thing. I like newborn sessions that are relaxed. Sometimes that’s not always the case. It really does depend on the babies and how much time you give them. They are worth waiting on. I’ve shot with Nikki before so I think this really helped as she knew I’d keep things very simple and easy. Riley wasn’t sleeping when I got there. He was awake for a while, just kicking his legs, stretching his arms and making the most adorable ‘cooing’ baby sounds. He loves his mum stroking his cheek. I took some of pictures of that too. My favourites are those quiet ‘skin-to-skin’ images of Riley tucked into the arms of his mum. Just where he wanted to be.

Sophie

It was a joy to meet with two of my favourite clients again, to welcome their new addition, nine week old Sophie.

I photographed Alex and Kristine’s Wedding at Lissanoure last year. One of the most beautiful Weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing in fact. *sigh*

They live in Scotland and they couldn’t make it over with Sophie at the newborn stage. In a way, I’m glad we waited though, because I got to see her at this extremely cherubic stage instead :) I’ve got loads of photos of Sophie, but I really like this set of frames together. Those are the most kissable cheeks I’ve ever seen. And the rolls and creases… She’s just completely edible. Beautiful parents, beautiful baby and lots of love…

I was back once again making memories with the Hamiltons.

The last time I saw them was at the beach in Portstewart on one of the hottest summer days of 2010.  This time it was the opposite. Winter at the Argory in freezing temperatures. It was *brrrrr*!! I can’t believe how grown up Nicole is since last year. And beautiful too.  The twins, Nathan and Ryan, did not stop running the whole time we were there. Two peas in a pod. I wish I had a smidgen of their energy! They are great entertainment though and cheeky-cute faces for pictures. They always look like they might be planning something mischievous together. If there was muddy puddle or a big stick they were on it.

The great thing about shooting a family more than once, is you get to watch the kids grow up in photos :) I sometimes wonder how Dawn, handles it all so successfully.  If you don’t remember Dawn and co from the last blogpost, she is the very busy publisher of the very successful ‘Getting Married in Northern Ireland’ Magazine. And she’s a real life supermum.

Santa was at the Argory, so the kids got an unexpected ride on Santa’s horse.  He must have had to bring the horse and cart because there wasn’t enough snow for the sleigh and reindeers!
