Mummy

So there’s this girl…
She’s stolen every piece of my heart.
I totally fell head over heels…
The best part is she calls me ‘mummy’.

Sunny side up

We had freakishly warm weather today that came out of nowhere. It was a brilliant surprise, especially since I ran out of home heating oil yesterday, and my stove is in for repair. It was a taste of the summer weather we never really had. Please, please let it last to the weekend weddings!

Caitlin came over to visit also. BTW, if you don’t know this already, I love her to bits. She took great delight in all of Niamh’s girlie things. Let’s face it, even from an early age, every else’s accessories always seem more fun!  I adore little girls and their fascination for grown up stuff. And we’re all about the handbags around here. I see Niamh has drawn on the bottom of her ‘Tangled’ bag. This isn’t the first handbag to fall victim to her pens. If you follow me on twitter you’ll know what happened to my Alexa :(  But anyway, enough about that misery, here are just a few frames of my sunny neice…

Jude is one!

I met up with Jude on Saturday. He was taking a drive around Tannaghmore Gardens in his groovy red car. He’s a one-year-old already and well on his way to the toddler years! This is my third time with him and he is turning into a real heartbreaker.  Gorgeous head of blonde hair, dark brown eyes and big cheeky dimples! He’s such a ‘hip’ wee dude too. I’ve been photographing Jason and Claire’s antics for three years now. I can’t believe it’s been that long. But it’s always fun to catch up with them again :)

One year

Just a quick share from a mini-shoot I had with sweet Cara a few weeks ago. The last time I photographed her she was a just a few days old. All the way from here in just one short year.

While the rest of us probably think we’ve had a busy year, there is nothing in the world as busy as a baby. It’s a year worth celebrating. It’s all discovery and firsts. One year of growing fast, exploring, laughing, cuddling, discovering, dancing, grabbing, teething, messing, snuggling, biting, shouting, crying, nappies (lots and lots of nappies), hugging, playing, copying, climbing, clapping, waving hello, waving bye-bye, kissing, sleeping or not sleeping, crawling, standing up, falling down… and so much more.

She is also ‘heart-meltingly’ adorable. Seriously, even the hardest of hearts would melt like ‘buffalo-mozzerella on hot tomato sauce’. This is the ‘one year old’ factor that has us adults running around frazzled and sleep-deprived, doing all the things for you that aren’t on your list this year, (well, you’ve been busy!), and still  loving you all the more for it.

Happy 1st birthday Cara.
