I’ve another beautiful Wedding-share today. I think there might be more than a few people up in Maghera waiting to see some photees :)
John and Leanne make such a lovely couple. You might remember them from the farm shoot. Although I don’t expect Leanne will be doing much ‘mucking out’ now that they’re married! But there is no doubt these two are so right for each other. They even had the same surname – before they were married. They are great people to be in the company of, as are their whole family. I had to eat a second breakfast at Leanne’s house in the morning. There was just no way I was being allowed to leave without food and tea :) And I love it at the house when everyone is having a good time, chilling out and enjoying the wedding morning.
Leanne and John’s Wedding had a real flavour of modern elegance blended seamlessly with elements of the traditional. Leanne looked ‘jaw-droppingly’ stunning in Ian Stuart and Jenny Packham details. I’m sure she literally glowed on the day of her wedding. Leanne’s comes from a musical household. Hence the cufflinks with guitars for her brother and the piano for her Dad. I think my favourite moment was when her brother sang for her in the Church:) Also, the speeches were quite hilarious. As I shoot a whole lot of weddings with ‘agricultural’ connections, I’m really starting to get with some of these farming jokes.
After the ceremony in their hometown of Maghera, we travelled up to An Grianan Hotel in Donegal for the reception. I had a fantastic day shooting this wedding. Between the style, the laughter, the details, the love… it’s made for a long blogpost.
