Cheriee & Peter

On a gorgeous Sunday evening I travelled up to Ballybogey to photograph Cheriee and Peter’s engagement session. We had planned to do this session last Monday but decided to hold out for the right weather. I’m so glad we did because the dusk was awesome. The field was perfectly dry. And perfectly golden.

I have to say there were butterflies in my stomach just as I was about to start. Everything was right. The location, the couple and the light. It was up to me to make the most of it. I’m sure there are a few photogs out there who can understand this feeling of nervous anticipation when you know there is a chance for something very special. These photos were taken on Peter’s farm. They are building their first home together not far from this field. And, they were born on the same day! It was meant to be:)

Peter and Cheriee are getting married next October and celebrating at Belfast Castle. Cheriee is no stranger to the wedding industry herself. She owns Cameo Bridal in Portrush. I’ve already shot some of her stunning gowns for ‘Getting Married in Northern Ireland’ magazine. If you still haven’t found the right dress, its worth a trip to up there. Oh, and you could always stop in at the Ramore after for a big feed. Definitely not before trying on the dresses. I can’t wait to see what dress Cheriee chooses for herself!

Feel the love from this session…

Graham & Jenny

I feel very fortunate to have had some really special Wedding clients this year. And I do get a little bit over-excited. So, with that said, please allow me to gush some more because Jenny and Graham’s day was A-maaazing!!!!
Since doing their engagement shoot I’ve been looking forward to going back to Campbell College for the big day. When you get to spend the whole day at one location its a dream. Also the ceremony was later in the day so I had some gorgeous light to play with. Jenny and Graham have a great connection. Its impossible not to smile when your photographing them. And, if thats not enough for me to be gushing about, we had a gloriously, sunny day.

*sigh*

I could have happily blogged the whole Wedding, but here are just a few. Well, maybe more than a few…

The music during this ceremony was rockin. I was snappin and a tappin!

I normally go out in front of the bride and groom but this time I held back. I’m glad because I caught Graham giving Jenny this little kiss as they walked into the light…

There were flowers and candles on every shelf, staircase, ledge and table…

There was alot of ‘tomfoolery’ at this wedding. I asked Graham if I could take some shots of him and this is what he gets up to. Well, I suppose they’re not going to put him on detention now. Someone else decided to put ‘dickey bows’ on the boars:)

Then we tried to go for the ‘too cool for school’ look.

That didn’t work either…

Jenny had different bone china teapots on all the tables, decorated with pearls and filled with hydrangea.

And she also decorated the beautiful cake.

Couldn’t resist :)

Sneak Peek

Where did my baby go?

Look who has started pre-school! The first day she cried. Well, we both cried! The next day she went off happily blowing kisses and chatting to all her new friends. The minute the uniform went on I felt a lump in my throat. Where did my baby go? Its all going too fast now. Being a working mum its hard not to feel like your missing the good stuff. I wish there was more time to enjoy them at this stage. I wish I could keep her with me and always know she is safe and protected. But I also wish her to have friends and fun and independence. And to not be afraid when I’m not there.

I wish a whole lot of things for her.

Eva & Cahir

I just love adding cuties to the blog. *sigh* And these two are seriously cute!:)
I wasn’t sure how long we’d have them in the mood for a photosession as it was pretty close to bedtime. But I needn’t have worried. Cahir just smiled and twinkled the whole time I was there and Eva had plenty of energy left for entertaining! Lots of big smiles and giggles in this blogpost.
Also, it was love at first sight for me and this nursery :)
Can’t wait to see them again at Catherine and Emmett’s Wedding next week. Keep an eye on the blog for that. It’s in one of my favourite locations!
