On a gorgeous Sunday evening I travelled up to Ballybogey to photograph Cheriee and Peter’s engagement session. We had planned to do this session last Monday but decided to hold out for the right weather. I’m so glad we did because the dusk was awesome. The field was perfectly dry. And perfectly golden.
I have to say there were butterflies in my stomach just as I was about to start. Everything was right. The location, the couple and the light. It was up to me to make the most of it. I’m sure there are a few photogs out there who can understand this feeling of nervous anticipation when you know there is a chance for something very special. These photos were taken on Peter’s farm. They are building their first home together not far from this field. And, they were born on the same day! It was meant to be:)
Peter and Cheriee are getting married next October and celebrating at Belfast Castle. Cheriee is no stranger to the wedding industry herself. She owns Cameo Bridal in Portrush. I’ve already shot some of her stunning gowns for ‘Getting Married in Northern Ireland’ magazine. If you still haven’t found the right dress, its worth a trip to up there. Oh, and you could always stop in at the Ramore after for a big feed. Definitely not before trying on the dresses. I can’t wait to see what dress Cheriee chooses for herself!
Feel the love from this session…

admin: Wow! Thanks Mari. The chances of getting this kind of light where we live are few and far between! I love it so much and I'm so jealous of photographer's who have this all the time. (08/21/10, 4:50 pm)
