I couldn’t believe what Peter created from the photograph I took of Rachel and Albrecht. Such a skilled hand. The light and detail perfected in pencil.
It’s always a real honour to have a drawing made from one of your photographs. Because you know that the artist has truly studied every piece of that image for hours. And appreciated it.
Maybe it is because I started my own journey as an art student that it means so much. Using only what you have to capture light and shade and take it to another level. I remember sitting in the life drawing room for hours just feeling completely at home. Nothing else mattered. Only the paper, the charcoal, the light and the subject.
On Saturday I will be with Rachel and Albi again to capture their very special day so I thought this would be a perfect time to share this piece.
