Ciara and Aidan

On Sunday I travelled up to Maghera to meet Aidan and Ciara for their engagement shoot. It was sunny and warm, but the snow from a few weeks ago was still on the mountains up there! How weird is this weather lately? Luckily, Ciara and Aidan knew of a quiet spot about 10 minutes away which was perfection. I’m loving the golden light we found here. Glad we decided not to tackle the crowds in Portrush!

Their Wedding is in the beautiful St. Patrick’s Church, Maghera this July and then they are off to celebrate at the Tullyglass afterwards. Ciara is all but ready, feeling calm and relaxed and looking beautiful. She has found the right man, but just one last problem, finding the right shoes…

New facebook Page!

For those of you, clients, friends, family and fellow photographers who enjoy this site, I just wanted to let you know I finally gave in and created a facebook page. Yay! I have had a personal account on facebook for a while which is alot of fun, but I thought it would be useful to have a dedicated area for the business alone. I’ve put if off for a while as it’s tough adding another area of social networking into the mix but I’ve give it some thought and it makes a lot of sense. Obviously it’s still better to view images on photoblogs in all their full screen glory but facebook is just another option.

It would really make my day if you could come along, join and say hello. I would love it to be more interactive than the blog. One way conversations can get boring! You know all about me, so now I’d love to know more about you :)

Eva

The Spanish Tomans are going back home tomorrow and we will miss them. Thankfully they caught some good weather in the end!

Eva is my Spanish sister-in-law and has kept a close eye on the blog since it began back in 2008. She says I don’t blog enough – I’d need an extra day in the week! I thought it was about time she had her own photoshoot. Its hard to believe she in her forties – she looks so fantastic! Good genes, lifestyle, passion for living? It’s probably all these things combined. She also has a great sense of humour and huge amounts of energy. At home they grow alot of their own vegetables and Eva looks after the fields every day. I love the food she cooks :)

The only drawback was Eva has been suffering from hayfever since coming over here. Those grassy fields did not help! But she worked it brilliantly anyway.

My niece, Caoimhe came with us. This is Mum and daughter together and I love, love, love this set of photos.

I’ve been promising to visit them in Fitero for ages. We will definitely go soon (I just have to get over my travel phobias!) and her next photoshoot will on Spanish soil! Great food, wine, conversation, weather, location… I just need that teleporter. Maybe apple will invent the iport soon. Wishful.x

Business Profile shoot

I’m shooting all kinds of things this week. Its been challenging and fun!

Quicklet are a very successful local property rental company. They are expanding with a new branch in Stranmillis, Belfast and a ‘brand-spanking-new’ website. I took some profile pictures of the team earlier in the week. Look out for Dermot who will be appearing later in the year (Engagement shoot and Wedding in December to Steph!) A big thank-you to Andrew Hanna for allowing us to use this fantastic location at Loughview, Lurgan for the shoot.
