I’m feeling a little post-xfactor trauma today. What will the nation to do? God forbid we might actually have to start going out and socialising again on Saturday nights!

It was great to see Alex win as she was one of the strongest contestants throughout but I was really dissappointed that they chose the great Cohen classic to be her song release. It’s definitely a sneaky move for the producers of the show. They really should have left it alone. No one can top Jeff Buckley’s beautiful heart-wrenching cover of this song in 1994. The only winners here are Simon Cowell and Sony Records as they have re-released this version also – the cheek!
