Brenna

A few weeks ago I had a lovely early morning photo session with Brenna at Tannaghmore Gardens – one of my favourite locations. We were out there for quite a while and Brenna was a total pro on the day even picking out places to sit and taking direction brilliantly. I think it shows in the photographs as I got so many great shots of her I couldn’t decide which ones to process…
(Click on the images to see them larger.)

This is my fav…

I played with the vintage look and some textures for the next shots.

I like the soft processing on this one…

Brena’s tiara was a beautiful touch and made her look like a celtic princess…

Backstage after the shoot… its not easy being a supermodel you know!!

I just got lightroom and all I can say is – WOW!!!
This has helped my workflow 100percent.
Being from a design background it never really was required before but boy is it handy when it comes to photography. I don’t know how I lived without it! This should make processing much quicker which leaves me with more time behind the camera and less time in front of the computer… Only thing is the old dinosaur is starting to groan and complain about me making it work harder now with photoshop CS3 and lightroom and everything going at once… and keeping it up to all hours!! On my wishlist for the near future is the new macbook pro. I dream about it regularly and I’m a mac girl at heart and always will be!

Erin Series continued.

Thought I would post some of the other images I have developed from Erin’s photoshoot. I have been so busy with the kids this past week it seems I have to burn the midnight oil just to update the blog.
Niamh’s two choppers at the bottom now have company! The teeth are coming in thick and fast. She is biting everything in range including me and not sleeping too well because of this.

I have really been playing around with textures and processing on some of these. It’s hard to resist!
Erin is stunning and I wanted the dreamy, romantic look for her…

Seeds vintage, originally uploaded by Paula O’Hara.

I had an amazing session with the very beautiful Erin last week.
At the moment I am still digitally developing the images but here is a little preview. I am really loving some of the vintage action sets available at the moment!
Erin was a real pro and the camera loved her. I am sure she was wondering why I wanted her to blow grass seeds at me… well Erin now you know!

Eilis and Niall

I am currently putting together the album of Eilis and Niall’s wedding so I thought it would be a good time to post news of it.
Everything was perfect – a wonderful day and a wonderful wedding. Eilis picked the sunniest Saturday of the year so far to get married. So, so lucky in this very soggy little part of the world called Northern Ireland!! In all seriousness it does seem to have rained since.
Eilis and Niall got married in the beautiful chapel of St Brigid in Brocagh, Coalisland which I really fell in love with. There was a lovely traditional feel to the place and to the whole day.
Can I just say thanks also to the Burke family for being so warm and welcoming. It’s not easy having someone take pictures of you when your trying to eat breakfast!
It was so exciting to be there from the very start of the day and to record all the events and preparations as they unfolded. Everyone was cool, calm and collected… the lads even had time for a pub stop-off before the ceremony!
Michael Toman (aka sugarisland) accompanied me as second shooter so thanks go out to Mike for all the assistance and next time remember to take the lens cap off! Only joking – you know you did a great job and your shots were excellent. Sure I even bought you a pint!

Congratulations again Eilis and Niall and thank-you for choosing me to photograph your day.
I hope you enjoy your photos as much as I did taking them.

The hair and make-up was absolutely stunning on the day.
Sometimes I add a little enhancement to the eyes in my photos but I didn’t have to touch Eilis’s as they were naturally striking…

Chloe was great for the camera and always had a smile… I think she loved the dress!

I love this shot of the mother of the bride…

Wee Conor did a great job on the day… Definitely the star of the show!

Boys will be boys – it’s hard to resist a good steep bank for rolling…

but when your this cute you can get away with anything…

the happy couple… by this stage we were all starting to cook in the sun.
The make-up and hair was still sitting perfect!!

I think Eilis and her mum are really alike.

Photos were taken afterwards at Killymoon Castle, a great location for any brides getting married in the Cookstown area. We were lucky enough to get some shots inside as well as out.
Here’s a great shot of the interior by Michael…

You can tell it’s near party time in this next shot as they look so relaxed!

I loved the little details…

I wanted to bite that cake – scrumptious!!

Good one Niall! He couldn’t resist a bit of messing around…

And here is the reel to finish…
