Wedding in Florence – Brittany & Jesse

November 22, 2017

Today the sun made a rare November appearance, struggling to reach the tops of the trees for a few hours, then giving up and dipping beyond the fields. With the dark settling again for the night, the first sprinkling of snow has arrived. It has me reaching for an extra sweater and edging closer to the radiator.
And with that, I find myself looking back to summer, to the ancient streets of Florence on a warm summer’s evening with these two joyous humans on a pre-wedding session. They got married in a vineyard just up in the hills outside the city. It really is true what they say about Italy. The magic and romance is real.  Or maybe it’s just the Brittany and Jesse effect.  I love their style, how they fit and snuggle, the easy way they look at each other.  They stopped to enjoy gelato on the steps of the Basilica of Santa Croce then meandered back through the narrow cobbled streets, against the hazy backdrop of that delicious light. I pull another blanket over me and dream of Tuscany.
